Professor Ed Glaeser Elected into the National Academy of Sciences
Professor Edward Glaeser, Fred and Eleanor Glimp Professor of Economics and the Chair of the Department of Economics, was elected into the National Academy of Sciences. Each year, the National Academy of Sciences inducts new members "in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research". He shares the honor with other esteemed scholars such as Ceclilia Rouse, Lawrence and Shirley Katzman and Lewis and Anna Ernst Professor in the Economics of Education and professor of economics and public affairs, Princeton University, an alumni of the department.
