Find Research Funding

Research projects are funded by external sponsored funding sources (Federal and Non-Federal) as well as opportunities available from internal initiatives at Harvard. Economics researchers have been successful in obtaining support from a variety of funding sources, with many examples listed on the Internal Sources, Federal Sources, and Foundations pages. Please search these sponsors, and any others, to identify open and available funding opportunities. You may find that a sponsor may have a closed or upcoming opportunity, so please check back frequently.

Once you identify an opportunity, please visit the Funding Process page for more information and guidance on submitting a proposal. Please note that sponsors frequently provide eligibility requirements. Before starting an application, please review your eligibility to ensure you are able to apply.

You may choose to cast a wide net and seek funding from multiple funding sources. Please alert your sponsored research administrator to assist in reviewing eligibility and specific sponsor terms and conditions.
