Harvard Economics Department Welcomes Maximilian Kasy as Assistant Professor of Economics

(August 2, 2012) Professor Maximilian Kasy has joined the Department of Economics at Harvard University as Assistant Professor of Economics.
 
Professor Kasy holds the degrees of Mag.rer.nat. in Mathematics and Mag.rer.soc.oec. in Economics from the University of Vienna, and both a M.A. in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
 

His research interests include identification and parameters of interest in microeconometrics, econometric methods for the analysis of economic inequality, and optimal policy choice and econometrics.

In Fall 2012, Professor Kasy will be teaching Economics 2110: Introductory Probability and Statistics for Economists.  Also, Topics in Econometrics (IHS Wien).
