The Econometric Society is an International Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory in its Relation to Statistics and Mathematics.
Gita Gopinath is John Zwaanstra Professor of International Studies and of Economics at Harvard University. Her research focuses on International Finance and Macroeconomics. She was recently appointed as the Chief Economist at the IMF to begin in January 2019.
