Philipp Schirmer is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Economics at Harvard University for the 2023-24 academic year. He is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Bonn. His research interests lie in behavioral and experimental economics as well as behavioral finance, in particular in studying how mental models and complexity shape economic agents' decision-making.
