Congratulations to Professor Stefanie Stantcheva on Winning the France-Israel Foundation Young Economist Prize

Professor Stantcheva is the winner of the award for 2019.

Every year the France Israel Foundation (FIF) awards the Young Economist Prizes to the best young French Economist (under age 40) and the best young Israeli economist (under age 45). The awards will recognize excellence of research in economics.

Stefanie Stantcheva is Professor of Economics at Harvard University. Her research focuses on how to improve the tax and transfer system for firms and individuals. She combines theory and empirics to study the effects of taxes and transfers on economic outcomes and how to incorporate these effects into our tax models. Since May 2018, Stefanie has been a member of the French Council of Economic Advisers (Conseil d'Analyse Economique) and is currently an associate editor at the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Political Economy, and a Foreign Editor at the Review of Economic Studies.
