Professor Nathaniel Hendren Named as Furer Fellow in the Department of Economics

Professor Nathaniel Hendren is the newest Furer Fellow in the Harvard Department of Economics.

The Furer Fellows are named for a 3 year term to an endowed position that recognizes Assistant and Associate Professors in Economics.

Past named Furer Fellows are Professors Tomasz Strzalecki, 2012-2015, and Amanda Pallais, 2014-2017.

Nathaniel Hendren joined the Economics Department at Harvard University in July 2013 as an assistant professor. His scholarship combines theoretical and empirical work in public economics. Topics include the role of private information in preventing the existence of private insurance markets, the welfare measurement of government policies and methods of interpersonal comparisons, and intergenerational mobility.
